AIG companies entered the life insurance business in Continental Western Europe in 1967 and now has about 500 employees. Currently AIG companies have operating life insurance companies in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy with our regional headquarter based in Paris.
AIG Life in Continental Western Europe offers a full range of individual Group Life and Personal Accident products through multiple distribution channels such as brokerage, agents, sponsors, Internet, and Direct Marketing. Investment and Pension are also part of the products we develop. Across Europe our strong expertise is on individual term life, employee benefits, credit life and direct response offers.
Our strategic orientation for the years ahead will be mainly focused on protection products (Risk Life and Personal Accident products) aiming at specific market segments (non smokers, senior, key person, small/medium size enterprises ...) where we want to continue gaining solid market share in areas with strong growth perspectives.
